Doug Sorensen is a project manager/programmer for Chaparral. He has developed high-level programming skills in all aspects of processing traffic data in his 10 years at Chaparral. His current duties include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining TRADAS server side code, which does daily file processing, quality control checks, factor application for short-term counts, summarization, and database storage, as well as monthly and annual summarization and factor calculations.

• Providing technical know-how and any required programming intervention for customer support.

• Providing database and program design for new TRADAS server features.

Currently, he uses C++, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Perl, and Crystal Reports to perform job requirements.
