Chaparral Systems Corporation (Chaparral), the only company focused exclusively on traffic data collection and analysis, provides a full range of related services to its customers. Our flagship product, TRADAS (for TRAffic DAta System), is the only comprehensive traffic data collection management, quality control, and analysis software product available. In addition to supplying TRADAS, Chaparral offers the service of operating the system for clients. The most economical way to provide this service is through our remote operations service, in which Chaparral personnel operate TRADAS for a customer at our customer support office in Santa Fe. This option gives the customers the benefit of having experienced traffic personnel running TRADAS without dedicating their own personnel to the task.

Description of Services

Chaparral provides all of the services necessary to operate the TRADAS system. These include daily, monthly, and annual activities.

Daily

Monitor traffic data collection device polling operations, and notify the client about polling problems.

Submit traffic files for processing.

Analyze operator messages and, as necessary, get input from clients to resolve these messages.

Provide feedback to field personnel regarding device performance.

Create daily reports.

Create a "Public Database" at the agency's site.

Monthly

Run monthly processing.

Create monthly reports, including creating and submitting the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Highway Information Management (OHIM) and Long-Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) reports, as necessary.

Yearly

Calculate site statistics.

Calculate factors.

Develop system estimates.
